GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 372303
Can't print PDF from Network Drive
Last modified: 2006-11-08 11:06:12 UTC
I am unable to print a PDF document from evince when it has been opened directly from a samba or webdav drive in FC6. Evince seems to be the only pdf app that opens pdf documents off a network drive (it works well) but when I try to print nothing happens - the print job isn't even created. When launching evince from the command line and trying to print a document from an smb share the errors are: (evince:9282): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_io_channel_new_file: assertion `filename != NULL' failed (evince:9282): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_io_channel_set_encoding: assertion `channel != NULL' failed (evince:9282): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_print_job_send: assertion `priv->spool_io != NULL' failed At present the only solution is to copy the pdf to a local drive and then open it with Evince to print.
