GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 371830
"Quit GnuCash" warning is unnecessary
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:15:13 UTC
Closig GnuCash produces this dialog: "You are attempting to close the last GnuCash window. Doing so will quit the application. Are you sure that this is what you want to do?" [Cancel] [Quit] It is not standard behavior for applications to require confirmation for quitting. There is already a very good dialog for quitting without saving; simply quitting is a normal operation which should not require confirmation. If the concern (apparent in the text) is about users being confusing by having many GnuCash windows open, then one solution would be the same dialog box but with a "never warn me again" option. However, in my opinion, in the absence of an option to make the dialog go away, it would be better to not have it at all. Other information:
