Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. i'm working on it.  lots of debuginfo packages to install.  meanwhile, here's a possible 'steps to reproduce':

0. install totem and gstreamer-plugins-ugly (and lots of debuginfo stuff!)
1. get a DVD and rip some mpg out of it or find an mpg elsewhere.
2. load the mpg into avidemux
3. under 'Video' select 'DVD (lavc)' and click on 'Filters'
4. click 'Add' and select 'MPlayer resize' set to 256x192
5. click 'Add' again and select 'Resample fps' set to 12fps (using 'linear blend')
6. under 'Format' select MPEG video
7. select a start and end frame with the 'A' and 'B' buttons
8. click on 'Save' and save to test.m1v
9. open the file in 'Movie Player'

more details:

in the above steps you can skip step 4.

the resulting file plays fine in mplayer.

i've just checked a few other files (some of which worked in totem and some didn't) and the broken ones are all 12fps and the others are all at their original fps.  all play okay in mplayer.

Thanks for the information. It was really helpful to track down the bug. It is a problem in the GStreamer mpeg decoder.
