Description Christian Menzel 2006-11-01 10:21:07 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When connecting to a commercial news server providing around 50,000 groups the loading of the group list takes forever.
The count of groups displayed in the status line exceeds 50,000 rather fast and keeps on counting until the thread is stopped. When the thread is stopped no newsgroups will be displayed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enter the login data for a commercial news server
2. refresh group list or wait for auto start
3.

Actual results:
The loading of the group list will not stop

Expected results:
Group list is loaded and displayed

Does this happen every time?
yes
