What were you doing when the application crashed?
Open Rhythmbox.  Load a file (like FOO.MP3) into the library.
Right Click on FOO.MP3 (in rhythmbox) and look at the file details.  Leave file-details open 
Open Easytag.  Edit the metadata and filename of FOO.MP3
Boom goes the dynamite
