Can you still reproduce this problem or has it been fixed since? Any chance you still have the message that caused the crash? If you set evolution to "Show source" you can save the message to a text file and attach it here.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it - after the crash I would restart evolution and it would be fine, so it seems to be that the crash occurs because of the event of the new email arriving (and perhaps its contents) rather than solely the processing of the contents of the email. I may have the email still but I got no idea which one it is... sorry for the lack of info, I realise it is probably not very helpful.
