What were you doing when the application crashed? I opened Places > Computer. I then pressed the "Home" button on the toolbar. I also happen to be copying my iTunes library from NTFS (hda) to an XFS partition on hdb (and playing rhythmbox, reading a web page and the ubuntu help).
