GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 363602

What were you doing when the application crashed? Changing themes with a chat window open, then typing a bit to test it, then changing the theme again, then typing some more. I think I'd just pressed return when bug buddy stepped in... Do you have avatars enabled? I think there is a bug in the GtkTextView that breaks when you have hidden text elements, that is trigger when you have avatars disabled.
I did have them disabled, yes. I've re-enabled them and have used it for a few minutes without a crash. I do seem to be unable to break it at all now though (irrespective of the avatar setting), while it would crash very quickly earlier today. Not sure if it's relevant, but I hadn't selected the compact contact list, I'd just disabled the avatars. Cheers.
