Description Jens Knutson 2006-10-20 08:14:14 UTC
Ffx 2.0 introduces the ability to undo tab closing by hitting "Ctrl-Shift-T".

Quoting Joe Shaw:

"I accidentally close the wrong tab all the time because I am an idiot. Shift-Control-T reopens the last closed tab, and all of my state is preserved. Hooray."

I am also an idiot and would LOVE this enhancement.

There's an extension for this but there are problems like flash still running or videos still playing in the closed tab.
Making undo-tab just a 'open a new tab with the latest url I closed' would not be the same as undo because it will not take you to the state where you closed the tab, but it will take you to a new instance of the closed tab url.

You could try to look at how firefox2 implements this.
