Description jawkneelangford 2006-10-18 18:20:31 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
I tried to open a powerpoint, which just crashed the program. Since there was nothing in the Edgy repos for Criawips, I downloaded the separate packages for Dapper, and installed that way. Nothing is functional as I have installed it. A distribution problem?

This is a known issue. Criawips can't open Powerpoint files yet.

Can you please open a terminal and start Criawips from the terminal (just type "criawips" and hit the Return key). Then reproduce this error (no need to report it again). Do any warnings appear on the command line?

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
