Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Could you please install some debugging packages [1] and reproduce the crash, if possible?

Once bug-buddy pops up, you can find the stacktrace in the "details", now containing way more information. Please copy that stacktrace and paste it as a comment here. Thanks!

Also, could you please translate the description?

[1] debugging packages for evolution, evolution-data-server and gtkhtml,
plus debugging packages for some basic GNOME libs. More details can

Comment 2 alvaro.garzonf 2006-10-18 13:08:01 UTC
Ok. Now seems to work. Yesterday I try to open evolution from a launcher in the gnome menu and it fails, but today I try and it works.
Today I have update a large number of packages, don't remember which ones. Sorry.

PD: Sorry for my english.

Thanks for the feedback, Alvaro. :)

Most likely a duplicate of bug 359236, which is fixed already. The fix has been backported in Ubuntu and is available since Evolution 2.8.1-0ubuntu2.

Alvaro, can you confirm this? What is the current exact Evolution package version you got installed?
