GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 361389
Save Text save option isn't preserved between sessions
Last modified: 2007-01-23 13:35:55 UTC
Steps: 1) Click on a large file 2) Check Save Text and uncheck Save Attachments and click Save 3) Close Pan 4) Open Pan File is now saved as if Save Attachments was checked rather than "Save Text" was checked.

A little misunderstanding on the bug - it looks like the patch preserves the setting you chose last (something useful, but I need to file a separate bug for that). Let me clarify a bit: On step 3. Close Pan before the file has finished downloading. On step 4. After you re-open Pan, the file should continue downloading. However, the file isn't downloaded as text, but is downloaded as a single file. I'm guessing this is because the file save type of each file in the Task list is lost when Pan is closed.
Duncan, I think this a dup of another ticket which you mentioned recently. What was that ticket's number?
Duncan: ping
This would appear to be another case of bug #355047, article download becomes saving after restart. (Either that or everything's looking like it, ATM... was out a couple days with a dead power supply, and just got back up with a marathon session... Everything's looking a bit wonky at this point. =8^) Bug #390735 was a (different) variation. That's Darren Albers' prompt for save path if non specified when adding a nzb via command-line that was just fixed. So while that could be called a child of the original and so can this, they're only half-siblings. =8^)
Thanks. I knew there was another ticket for this but couldn't find it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 355047 ***
