GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 361384
Corruption on downloads?
Last modified: 2006-10-13 15:31:07 UTC
I'm not 100% sure whether it's my news server or Pan, but I just noticed that with a bunch of files I just downloaded, 9 out of 25 (yenc encoded if that makes a difference) files had corrupt parts in them resulting in errors like this in the Event Log: Warning: PCR32 mismatch in file.name.here part 33. Decoded file probably corrupt. Warning: file.name.here part 33: Decoded size (249559) does not match expected size (249600) However, it eventually downloads error free after 1 or more retries. So the files seem to be good on the server itself (as you can refetch them), but is it Pan or the news server that's resulting in parts being corrupt? Also, should Pan automatically attempt to redownload parts which aren't decoded properly (or have an option to do so)?
What version of Pan are you using?
