Send and Receive errors stop evolution from downloading new mail until they are clicked. I suggest taking somewhat the same approach as Outlook in that all errors are contained within the send & receive dialog with a message on the status bar about errors during S & R. 

Worst case it would be great to have no popups on POP3 SMTP errors during send and receive.
