GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 356907
Simplified Download Tracking?
Last modified: 2007-05-30 11:20:16 UTC
Hi, I was just admiring a mockup demo of download integration in the panel: http://jimmac.musichall.cz/images/guimockups/xgl2/show-download.ogg via: http://jimmac.musichall.cz/guimockups.php?mockup=xgl2 It got me thinking about the panel applet in GNOME for Epiphany. A few thoughts: * It seems overkill to have a popup window to manage downloads. I think this panel applet solution is much more elegant, minimally invasive and less clicks (see point 2) * Currently viewing the download progress window requires a rightclick>selectoption sequence. Upon rightclick, there is only one option offered. The dropdown menu with only one option seems redundant. * Feedback about downloads feels inadequate. Notifications are nice. I look forward to hearing any thoughts on this. Regards, Shane W. Handley
