Synopsis: Missing feature: Delete mail on server when deleted locally
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution

Description:
Description of Problem:

Evolution is great software and this is actually no bug report.
However...

Today SPAM is a common inconvience. If I work with the "leave mail on
server" option enabled the following problem arises: While the SPAM
filter of evolution works fine (well, after some education) and
successfully moves junk mail into the junk folder this does not clear
the actual mail account on the mail server from junk mail. Thunderbird
has the possibility to configure something like "delete mail on server
when deleted locally or moved from Inbox to another folder" and it works
beautiful.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.
2.
3.

How often does this happen?

Florian, you may be happy to hear that this feature request has been implemented already. It is available in Evo since 2.8.0.

This bug was marked as a duplicate of 201824, which has now been marked as resolved. However, the part that this bug is duplicate of has not been fixed. Only the "other" feature, namely "Delete after N days" was implemented.

I still really want to see "Delete when deleted locally", which every other mail client can do. The reason I want this:
 - About once a year, I clear out the mailbox on my server manually, because it gets full. I still want to keep the mail locally, however. Therefore I want to use POP.
 - I read my mail from many computers and OS's, therefore I want to keep the mail on the server.
 - I want to be able to delete specific mails, such as spam or mails with large attachments, from the convenience of my mail client. Therefore I want this feature.

Yes, I know, I could use IMAP and then make a local archive folder to download my mail to, before I delete it from the server, but the other scheme works well in Outlook Express, Thunderbird, others...
