Description Johannes Schmid 2006-09-13 08:10:58 UTC
- Insert a DVD in your DVD-ROM and fire up totem
- It will tell you it cannot play the dvd (well, and does not make much suggestions what you could do about but I think that was fixed already)
- Instead of File->Play Media (DVD) choose File->Open Location and type dvd://
- The DVD will play now but sound does not really work and there is no menu

Other things:
DVD (Austin Powers 2 - German) will play in xine perfectly.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

Regarding the sound: I don't know what you mean exactly by 'the sound does not really work', but if it's that you can't hear voices/foreground noises properly, then this is something that has been fixed in gst-plugins-ugly CVS.
