GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 355167
[handler] Thunderbird for email support
Last modified: 2008-03-13 11:30:06 UTC
Distribution: Slackware Slackware 11.0.0 Package: deskbar-applet Severity: Normal Version: GNOME2.14.3 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: FRG gsb.sourceforge.net build for slackware Synopsis: thunderbird support Bugzilla-Product: deskbar-applet Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: unspecified Description: Description of Problem: When the deskbar-applet finds an email relevant to the search query, clicking on it just does not work since it tries to open evolution in place on thunderbird. Evolution is there but not used so really the emails are from the thunderbird folders. Can't find any config param to fix it. Tried linking evolution to thunderbird bin but to no avail. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. search query that matches some email 2. click on itfrom the window 3. admire bug-buddy ;-) Actual Results: debug window appears after bug-buddy saying evolution is not there. It looks up for "evolution" but the bin here is called "evolution-2.6". Expected Results: To open thunderbird on the right email How often does this happen? Additional Information: Included file "/tmp/tmpvDkAoO": Traceback (most recent call last):

Not sure how we should fix that. Thunderburd isn't really in GNOME. I think someone should step up with a thunderbbird handler.
