It happens very often that i compare documents and webpages,
for example to compare the technical specs of my next graphics cards.
Sometimes i get the information for videocard A from one webside
and the information for videocard B from another webside.

So the websides with the specs table are independent from each other.
Now i want to compare them and to do that in a comfortable way i must resize manually both webpage windows in a way, so that they lay side by side.
And exactly this resizing and laying the windows side by side is a time-consuming bothering task.

This could be done automatically and it might be not only usefull for webpages but also pdf, text etc. documents.
And here is the idea how that could be done:

The user should be able to select one window (which has the 1. webpage) with the left mouse button in the gnome-panel window list, then he presses the CTRL key and keeps it pressed, then he selects the other window with the left mouse buttong in the gnome-panel window list (which has the 2. webpage), the CTRL key is still pressed, then he does a right mouse click after that.
Now a context menu opens where the user can say to resize and put both windows side by side on the desktop so that the 1. window is on the right side and the 2. window on the left side of the desktop.
It might be also usefull to put them on top of each other.
The first window at the top of the screen and the second window on the bottom of the screen.


This would be really an amazing feature in my opinion and i don't know any other
desktop environment out there, that offers such a great feature.


What do you think about it?

BTW. it might be also usefull to to this with 3 or 4 windows at the same time.
So that 3 or 4 windows lay side by side.
