What were you doing when the application crashed?
i try to start deskbar-applet from the panel, it seems that a pixmap is missing : deskbar-applet-panel-h.png

but :
find /usr/share -name 'deskbar-applet-panel-h.png' 
result in:
/usr/share/deskbar-applet/art/deskbar-applet-panel-h.png

and 

 file /usr/share/deskbar-applet/art/deskbar-applet-panel-h.png 
result in:
