GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 354553
Evolution crashes with a bad command line argument
Last modified: 2006-09-06 08:04:30 UTC
Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper) Package: Evolution Severity: major Version: GNOME2.14.3 2.6.x Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: Evolution crashes with a bad command line argument Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Bugzilla-Version: 2.6.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1) Description: Description of the crash: Evolution crashes when run with an improper argument on the command line. It should report about this wrong argument instead. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. launch with the following command line: /usr/bin/evolution user@domain.com Expected Results: Evolution should properly sanitize its arguments, instead of crashing. How often does this happen? Pretty much every time I try it. Additional Information: Oh well, now that I've learned I need to use mailto: before the e-mail address, I should be safe. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution-2.6' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".
