plugging in USB drive (full hard drive, two partitions) crashes nautilus
and ALL the Desktop icons

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. plug in USB drive while looking at nautilus window
2. crash
3.

Expected Results:
drive partitions are mounted as usual

How often does this happen?
once (once in awhile Linux/Gnome don't mount the drive partitions
properly [right permissions, etc,] - unplugging and replugging drive
solves this, normally
