Description Vincent Untz 2006-09-04 18:52:06 UTC
This is bad, really bad. I guess most distributions are patching the package to provide a non-versionned binary.

See this thread: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/evolution-hackers/2005-September/msg00034.html
Comment 1 Harish Krishnaswamy 2006-09-06 09:27:11 UTC
Vuntz : Thanks for bringing this to bugzilla.

My bad..the patch I wrote got lost in some lengthy discussions (meaningless, now when I view in retrospect) and dropped out of the horizon.

Bad, it missed the 2.8 bus - not another release again. I will get this in as soon as the trunk is open for commits.

Sigh :-/...I badly need an alias for catching Misc. bugs instead of letting them default to my name - the blending of actionables on me (in person) and triage (by role) is numbing my senses.

Bumping it to critical to cue myself for action.

Harish:
the 2.11 bus is moving on, please don't miss it :)

fyi, this is a symlink on gentoo and on debian as well.
Comment 3 Gilles Dartiguelongue 2007-05-30 21:54:12 UTC
this will be fixed as part of bug #386503
Comment 4 Matthew Barnes 2007-05-31 19:52:33 UTC
Should we close this as a dupe then?
Comment 5 Srinivasa Ragavan 2007-06-03 15:46:12 UTC
Just that, the patches has been posted in bug #386503 it is not a dupe.

Fixed in head.

Vincent, Just change the panel code for once to refer to the version less binary.
