GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 353922
shortcut conflict: new shared memo vs evolution preferences
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:50:26 UTC
dear chen, http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/evolution/calendar/gui/memos-component.c?r1=1.8&r2=1.9 introduced the line list->_buffer[1].menuShortcut = 's'; control+shift+s is already used by the preferences in evolution 2.7.92. for future reference, http://go-evolution.org/Shortcut_Keys_Review clearly lists the currently used keyboard shortcuts, it can be helpful in order to not use the same one twice. i hereby invite every evolution hacker to take a look at that page, or to actually test the changes that they implement. thanks. </sarcasm>
bad, did not go through that. Confirming.
Created attachment 77594 [details] [review] Changes the shortcut to Shift+Control+H This fixes the problem, I read the wiki page for Shortcut Keys Review and there isn't another shift+control+h shortcut. This is my first Evolution patch, so if I missed something please tell me :).
garr... UI freeze. may anybody feel free to ask for UI freeze break. otherwise, i would just commit this because i'm too tired of seeing this bug for another cycle.
