The Gnomemeeting first-use configuration druid asks for Personal Information.
The first question asked is:

  Please enter your first name and surname:

This should probably default to the GECOS data obtained from the password file; and/or some gconf value that should in turn default to the passwd file data.

Not a bad idea.

I think that GNOME also provides an "about me" API.
