GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 353705
Old SMTP server displayed after resending email with another account
Last modified: 2009-02-11 13:52:18 UTC
Please describe the problem: If you try to send an email via a given smtp server, and then cancel the send process and edit the messages From Field (another account with uses another smtp server) you will see that the old smtp server is displayed after resending the old message. If you send a message with your not default account where the used smtp server is different from your default smtp server. then the default smtp server is displayed in the send message window Steps to reproduce: 1. Write an email. 2. Try to send the email but don't enter the smtp password or cancel 3. Edit this Msg and change the From Field to an account with uses another SMTP server 4. Try to send the message again. 5. The old smtp server is displayed in the msg send window Actual results: Old SMTP server displayed after resending email with another account Expected results: New SMTP server should be displayed after resending email with another account Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) Gnome Release: 2.15.92 2006-08-22 (Ubuntu)
Bumping version to a stable release.
Unclear what the "msg send window" is. If it's the Send / Receive window only showing one outgoing server, it's a known issue.
(In reply to comment #2) > Unclear what the "msg send window" is. If it's the Send / Receive window only > showing one outgoing server, it's a known issue. > yes it is the Send / Receive window.
