GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 353621
open a sudo popup when copying to a folder you don't own
Last modified: 2008-04-04 13:57:58 UTC
I'd like to be able to copy files to special locations (/usr/share/[icons,fonts...]) without the need to sudo a new nautilus. Maybe there could be a popup that asks you to enter "credentials" : . just the time to copy the files (= "one shot") OR . to launch a new nautilus (because you plan to do a lot of file operations) to launch Other information:
Yes this would be very handy.
This could be done with PolicyKit integration. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 490200 ***
