Description Pavel Šefránek 2006-08-29 21:06:06 UTC
Save this file [http://85.113.253.43/~uwog/abiword/cac-experiment.gif] on your ~/Desktop and then, while creating thumbnail, nautilus allocates too much memory and because of this computer becomes very slow. On machine with a few memory, this can make computer irresponsive for long time. There's need for some hack to control this behaviour.

Confirmed with Nautilus 2.14.3 on Ubuntu Dapper.

Nautilus consumes around 3 GB of memory (2 GB physical + 1 GB swap) thumbnailing that image on my computer.
