Description Paolo Maggi 2006-08-22 10:29:16 UTC
For the primary text we have:

"Save the changes to document "Unsaved Document 1" before closing?"

it should be

"Save changes to document Unsaved Document 1" before closing?"

For the secondary text we have:

"If you don't save, changes from the last 4 minutes will be permanently lost."

it should be

"If you close without saving, changes from the last 4 minutes will be discarded"

See http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/windows-alert.html

Note that the secondary text in Figure 3.17 of the HIG 2.0 is not comform to the string in the text. Which string should we use?

Comment 2 Paolo Borelli 2009-01-03 16:14:13 UTC
I fixed the first string.

I didn't change the second string since

1) on the HIG bug it's still debated which one is better
2) we would need to duplicate all the strings (since we have many secondary message variants) to take into account "If you close without saving" and "If you logout without saving".
