GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 352321
New Messages Don't Appear in the Inbox
Last modified: 2007-02-27 21:48:23 UTC
Please describe the problem: With Evolution 2.6.3, new messages don't appear in the inbox, unless I close Evolution and reopen it. The Inbox actually updates the count on the left pane, but the new messages don't show up with the other messages. Steps to reproduce: 1. Read all existing unread messages in the inbox of an Exchange account. 2. Wait for new messages to arrive. 3. You can now see that there are messages, but they don't show up with the other messages. Actual results: You don't see the new messages in the inbox. Expected results: You should be able to see the new messages, click on them, and read them, etc. Even hitting the send/receive button doesn't make them show up. Does this happen every time? Yes. Patch is attached to bug #349413. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 349413 ***
I don't think this is a duplicate. I am getting no errors, or crashes, and this morning after letting the client run all night new messages did show up. I don't know how long it took, but it isn't crashing or hanging at all. In fact, other than the UI shows new messages have arrived, but they don't display in the message list, everything is working great.
I'm seeing this as well. + me@exchange.com ++ Personal +++ Inbox (1) In OWA, you can see the unread message, even read it and Evolution updates unread count, but no message in message list. And this is not an issue with the sort, the new messages simply aren't there, setting "Show:" to "Unread Messages" gives you an empty message list for instance. evolution-2.8.2.1 evolution-data-server-1.8.2 evolution-exchange-2.8.3
