Description Rob Staudinger 2006-08-10 11:48:42 UTC
It would be very nice if the location entry combo worked more like firefox's.
E.g. you start typing "g" and the combo appears with the entries
"gnome.org"
"gmail.com"
Select "gnome.org" with the cursor. Then hit the home key e.g. because you want to go to developer.gnome.org and have to manually prepend "developer." -- the location entry is cleared.
It would be much easier editing already existing URLs if the recently selected URL from the combo would stay persistent when the combo goes away.

I think I remember chpe saying that this was a gtk+ bug and this couldn't been fixed until gtk+ was fixed, I _think_. :/

Anyway, I agree with you, it would be the most intuitive behavior.
