Steps to reproduce:
I have a large gif file made with byzanz, and when nautilus tries to make the thumbnail it starts to eat memory until it crashes, this make the whole system to be hanged.

Stack trace:
I was unable to get the stack trace after the nautilus crash using gdb:

Program terminated with signal SIGKILL, Killed.
The program no longer exists.

No stack.
