Harry, I can reproduce this bug on zh_CN.UTF-8 and en_US.UTF-8 locale, whille can not reproduce on C locale. Only difference I did is that on UTF-8 locale I can input chinese directly, on C locale I need copy Chinese characters.
Comment 8 Halton Huo 2006-08-07 08:05:24 UTC
Harry, I found it not related with the locales, I try C locale on SunRay, it automatically add my signature automatically, and print well, when I delete the signature, this bug still there. So still can reproduce this bug under C locale.

Test case which works well:
你好

Test case which does not work:
你好

Hello Halton,

Is this bug happening only with ASCII mails, while the ones in HTML mode work with print/preview?

If yes, then it corresponds to a bug report downstream - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=202751

I'm attaching the patch.

Thanks,
Makuchaku

with print/preview?

Thanks,

This bug happening only with ASCII mail, works fine if I click Format->HTML.
Comment 13 makuchaku (Mayank) 2006-11-29 12:18:28 UTC
Good... then this bug seems a DUP of Bug 355766 – Multi-lang text in Body is not printed when composing in ASCII mode

Thanks Halton :)
