Description Luca Ferretti 2006-07-23 12:33:27 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When you open Epiphany preferences dialog when there is no ~/Desktop/Downloads folder, an error alert appears.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Delete or Remove your Downloads folder (create a new, fresh user could be better)
2. Open Epiphany
3. Select Edit->Preferences

Actual results:
An error alert appears, saying:

   <big>The folder content could not be displayed</b>

   error accessing 'file://home/betatester/Desktop/Downloads': file not found

Expected results:
No error message if Desktop/Download folder don't exist.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
I'm not sure it's an Epiphany bug
 * it could be a GTK+ FileChooserButton bug (I didn't search)
 * it could be related to recent gnome-vfs-daemon activation via DBUS: I'm using a jhbuild sandbox under /opt/gnome2 and there could be some issues with the system message bus from /usr

Indeed, it's a gtk+ bug.
