GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 348248
Sort order of account tree is not saved
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:10:16 UTC
Please describe the problem: When changing the sort order of the registry tree, the selected order is not remembered. If you change the sort order, exit the program and restart it, the sort order will have reverted back to sorting on account name ascending Steps to reproduce: 1. Change the account tree sort order 2. Exit gnucash, or optionally, save and exit gnucash. 3. Strat gnucash Actual results: Sort order reverted to account name ascending Expected results: Sort order should remain the same as before exiting Does this happen every time? yes Other information:
Should be account tree, not registry tree... Dunno where that came from :)
Somewhat confirmed. It's interesting to note that the column header does seem to reflect the correct saved/restored sort order, but the actual data is not correctly sorted. Sometimes. Sometimes it does save/restore correctly.
Fixed in trunk (r14552). Needs to be audited and backported to branches/2.0. WRT comment 2: Now the tree view loads the sort order from gconf (it did not do that before). I did not see column headers insonsitent with the actual ordering. So Josh, can you please take a second look whether it works?
Backported in r14553. Closing.
Who audited this patch?
Ahh, Chris did, on -devel. Okay.
