Ctrl+Alt+Shift left/right/up/down moves the currently focused window to a different workspace. Contrary to the Ctrl+Alt+... workspace switch shortcut the workspaces are not shown in this case.

Metacity should also show the workspaces when moving windows to another workspace with the keyboard.
