GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 348171
Ekiga not compatible with CallWave
Last modified: 2007-01-02 18:13:46 UTC
CallWave is an odd little service that basically allows you to screen all your calls. They give you a US area code 775 phone number that will route to your SIP agent (in this case Ekiga). It presents the caller with what appears to be an answering machine and offers the Callee the oportunity to pick up the call by pressing "1". When I press "1" in Ekiga I get a popup error box that says "Invalid Parameter" and I cannot take the call. This may be related to Bug 327988. The easiest way to test / reproduce this bug is to get an account with Gizmo Project and activate your 775 number for your account. Then call youself on that number while registered to your Gizmo account.
I should note that I would have assumed that this was a duplicate of Bug 327988 except that the reporter of that bug does not describe the "Invalid Parameter" dialog.
Hello, Can you give more information and try to debug a bit? I do not have enough money to be able to pay for international calls from Belgium to debug this. Sorry :(
I'll be happy to send a debug trace next chance I get. For yourself you might consider signing up with http://www.freedigits.com/ They give you a free US phone number and like 60 minutes of free time.
Created attachment 69543 [details] debug=6 log of an incoming call through callwave In this call I attempt to send a DMTF 1 (to accept the call) but get only a dialog which says "Invalid Parameter". I attach the whole log because I couldn't find the error myself. I did try.

I checked and it was a DUP of Bug 327988. At least, I can not reproduce it here. Please reopen if the problem is not fixed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 327988 ***
