make sure automatic contacts plugin is enabled (edit > plugins).

edit > preferences > mail preferences > automatic contacts.

see that "Select Address book for Gaim buddy list" and "Select Address book for Automatic Contacts" are not translated.

after applying the patch i ran "intltool-update -p" in evolution/po/.
now the strings are included in evolution/po/evolution-2.8.pot.

committed the patch (including a reference to this bug report that is missing in my attached patch here) both to stable branch and to unstable CVS HEAD:
