GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 347248
Timezone missing for All Day Appointments
Last modified: 2009-07-31 18:08:15 UTC
Steps to Reproduce: Create a new All Day Appointment, either by double clicking the appriate part of the Calendar, by File / New / All Day Appointment , or by using the New combobox. * The appointment dialog lacks the Timezone part. Note however, that View / Timezone actually is set. To get the Timezone settings, the user to disable and re-enable this option. Just like the Appointment dialog, the All Day Appointment dialog needs the Timezone option being displayed by default.
quoting from evolution/calendar/gui/e-timezone-entry.c:289 /* Sets the default timezone. If the current timezone matches this, then the entry field is hidden. This is useful since most people do not use timezones so it makes the user interface simpler. */ so the bug is that actually "View > Timezone" is set. minor issue.
The behaviour changed slightly meanwhile, the timezone is shown when checked, but you cannot hide it, as View->Timezone is disabled. But as bug #352801 requests this enabled, then I'm marking this as a duplicate of the newer. They are closely related, with respect of the UI option. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 352801 ***
