Description Sebastian Breier 2006-07-10 19:08:28 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Sometimes the background gets drawn incorrectly when using the "transparent background" option in "effects".

I should note that I'm using a cronjob to change my desktop wallpaper every 10 minutes - I have not yet checked if stopping that prevents the problem, but it doesn't fix it either.

Regular xchat had no problem with that, and I guess the transparency effect is supposed to work correctly. :-)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use xchat-gnome for some time

Actual results:
The background transparency shows a broken background.

Expected results:
The desktop background should correctly show through the xchat window.

Does this happen every time?
Only sometimes; Can't really determine when.

No transparency in areas without text, regular transparency in areas with text.

Doesn't have anything to do with the background changing cronjob - I disabled it, and just started xchat-gnome, and the behavior is the same.
