Description Gil Forcada 2006-07-08 18:44:32 UTC
(yes, isn't a HIG bug to be specific, but I can't find a way to fill a bug for all translations, and fill a bug for every app is useless, move to the product and component you think is better)

While translating applications to catalan I have seen two diferent forms to translate de license dialog, the first uses a generic "This aplication is free software bla bla bla", the other format uses "Evince is free software bla bla bla"

for example:

evince uses the second form
zenity uses the first form
totem uses the second form

and so on

I think it could be better to have one form and adapt the other (maybe by a GnomeGoal ? )

bug #336225 is about adding support for some common licenses in about dialogs to gtk. After fixing that bug, it will be really easy to solve this one :).

With bug #336225 fixed we can close this one also since this bug is about having a common license text for translators and it's already achieved.
