Description Jack Saunders 2006-07-06 23:33:14 UTC
I think the recent documents menu should remember the application a document was opened with, if it is not the default. The current way is confusing, especially as there is no "Open with..." for recent documents.
For example, there may be a video file which is only openable with a certain player, but this is not remembered and therefore the menu is useless for this document.
In another case, a HTML file may be being edited, but everytime it is clicked on the recent documents menu it comes up in a browser.
Failing this, there should be an Open With option for the menu, perhaps in a context menu or an accelerator key.
