Description of the crash: 
While viewing a directory of images in fullscreen view, using <esc> to
exit 
results in a crash.


Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Open a directory of images
2. select view -> fullscreen and cursor through different images
3. hit <esc> while a new images is loaded

Expected Results:
eog dies with dignity :) by issuing the standard gnome crash dialog

How often does this happen?
Anytime when exiting fullscreen mode while switching images
