I don't know if it helps, but I am experiencing the same problem, except that I am on a slamd64 system running dropline GNOME (x86_64). I don't know if it could be architecture-related, but I never experienced this on the i686 distribution. The wierd thing about this is that the crash only happens at random times. I just Alt+F2'd some time to generate the crash: Distribution: Slackware Slackware 10.2.0 (x86_64) Package: gnome-panel Severity: critical Version: GNOME2.14.2 2.14.x Gnome-Distributor: Dropline GNOME (x86_64) Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel Bugzilla-Version: 2.14.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1)
