Steps to reproduce:
1. Unzip and running ekiga.exe can cause the crash
2.

Other information:
Ekiga on windows xp + sp2 reports that SDL.dll could not be found on start up and fails to load , however if we download the required DLL and put it in the same dir as ekiga.exe it works fine

This is the o/p of my path variable

This is due to the lack of a proper installer ; see bug #339919.
