Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper) Package: evince Severity: Normal Version: GNOME2.14.2 0.5.x Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: evince crash when select text with mouse Bugzilla-Product: evince Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: 0.5.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1) Description: Description of the crash: evince crash when select the text and move mouse vertical Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. open a pdf document. you can double click a pdf document or use evince's file/open 2. press left key of mouse to select text 3. move mouse vertical (with left key of mouse pressed) Expected Results: evince crash. How often does this happen? I tried 10 times, it crashed every time. i tried other PDF documents, it's does not crash. looks like the crash related with specified document. the pdf document which crashed evince is: http://www.plop.dk/vikingplop2002/VikingPLoP2002_Proceedings.pdf and, the 'about evince' print: Evince 0.5.2 PostScript and PDF File Viewer. Using poppler 0.5.3 (cairo) hopes above information can help you.
That should be poppler bug, the backtrace is the same as 316907, but as far as I know it should be fixed in poppler 0.5.3. Strange, we need to investigate it more.
