Comment 1 Vincent Povirk 2006-06-26 00:18:29 UTC
Does the crash happen while dragging cards? If so, it could be bug 342038.
Comment 2 George Walsh 2006-06-26 00:55:50 UTC
I read Bug 342038 but had not noticed the presence of 'The Queen' as a pattern, and also assumed there might have been a variance in the crash becuaes of the revision levels related to Ubuntu and Mandriva.

This is not considered a critical problem by me, and i am content in this case to post the bug and let it work itself out with later revisions - a trait I happily accept working with Cooker levels at Mandriva.
Comment 3 Andreas Røsdal 2006-06-26 06:59:52 UTC
I'll have a look at this ASAP. A backtrace from the crash would be useful.

Comment 4 George Walsh 2006-06-26 17:38:34 UTC
Thanks for your interest. I'll apply gdb next time I play a few games and see if I can catch the little beast.
Comment 5 Richard Hoelscher 2006-06-26 18:01:51 UTC
George: Does this happen while you are dragging around cards or, as your mandriva bug seems to state, when you click on the stock to deal cards to the waste?

(Bug #342038 and it's duplicate seem to be specifically about garbage collection and the list of cards that we are dragging around.)
Comment 6 George Walsh 2006-06-26 21:30:05 UTC
I took a 30 minute break, set gdb, but the little 'devil' wouldn't show. Most of the time I was attempting to meld a card from the deck and the program crashed before the card reached its intended destination. I'll monitor it as often as I am able to because I certainly appreciate that you are trying to resolve this.
Comment 7 Andreas Røsdal 2006-07-04 06:26:11 UTC
I have not been able to reproduce this bug so far.
George, can you please try again to create a backtrace?

Based on the descriptions given about this bug so far, I think it's a duplicate of Bug #342038.
Comment 8 Andreas Røsdal 2006-07-04 20:38:28 UTC

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 342038 ***
Comment 9 George Walsh 2006-07-05 00:20:25 UTC
I played 13 games earlier to try and help out, but of course everything works fine when it is being watched, be it man or machine.

If I get a failure, I'll post the trace. I have a sticky note on my monitor to remind me to rund gdb.

This bug is being reassigned to the "general" component so we can close the aisleriot bugzilla component. Apologies for the mass email!
