Description Karderio 2006-06-25 15:02:11 UTC
There are gconf keys to define custom keybindings (/apps/metacity/keybinding_commands/), to bind keys to an arbitrary command.

Perhaps these could be used to allow the user to define cutom bindings in the keyboard shortcuts menu.

Love Karderio.

I was wondering what the Gconf keys in /apps/metacity/keybinding_commands/ were actually intended for.

Would it be advisable for an application to use these to define a keybinding ?

Say I wrote a new terminal program, and wanted it to have a standard default shortcut, could the app add itself to this list ?

Love Karderio.
