Description RAdams 2006-06-24 05:21:07 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
When I select "Always" from Nautilus -> Edit -> Preferences -> Text
Files -> Show Text in Files, Nautilus File Management Preferences, the
Nautilus Window, and the initial error dialog all crash. This only seems
to happen once. See below for exact scenario.

1. Open a window (if this is a possible cause, the window I opened was
activated by opening my Shared Drive, a FAT32 formatted hard drive,
opened by clicking a shortcut to url icon I made for my Gnome Panel)
2. Select Edit -> Preferences -> Text Files -> Show Text in Files
3. Nautilus File Management Preferences, the Nautilus Window, and the
initial error dialog all crash.

Other information:
It only happened once. I was not able to reproduce it.

I had no other programs open. It returned no specific error code.

Comment 1 Sergej Kotliar 2006-06-24 08:03:51 UTC
Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash, as it doesn't have debugging symbols. Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for information on how to install packages that provide that, and if you are able to reproduce this bug again, but with debugging packages installed, please do so.
Comment 2 RAdams 2006-06-24 09:41:27 UTC
Ah. Sorry, Sergej. Now I know. Unfortuately, I can't seem to reproduce this bug... I'll stay on it.
