Last modified: 2006-06-12 16:25:48 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 5 (Bordeaux) Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: GNOME2.14.2 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: contacts added to addressbook take a long time (>24hours/a few reboots?) before they canbe accessed from the contact list Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Contacts [was: Addressbook] Bugzilla-Version: unspecified Description: Description of Problem: I right click on an email address whilst viewing my inbox. add email address to the contact list with no reported problems. later when composing a mail i begin typing the email address or nickname into the to field, evolution does not seem to recognise it. click on the to button, the person i have just added is not in the contact list Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. add email address to contacts 2. compose email, try and use contact list to find email address 3. Actual Results: nothing, evolution does not seem to remember i have added this person Expected Results: evolution lists the appropriate email address How often does this happen? every contact i have added since installing fc5, i have applied all available updates Additional Information: after having to reboot a few times i tried evolution again and some of the contacts i had added earlier were now listed in the contact list. previous versions of evolution (fc4) had no such time delay between adding the contacts and the time at which they could be used ------- Bug created by bug-buddy at 2006-06-11 14:38 -------
